What Does the Bible Mean by ‘Love’?
Love (Greek agape) is self-giving devotion that seeks another’s good — God’s own nature, shown at the cross, and commanded toward God, neighbor, and enemy.
The Christian Life examines the believer’s ongoing life of faith, obedience, holiness, spiritual warfare, endurance, and conformity to Christ after entering the covenant community through the gospel. This category traces how Scripture describes discipleship, repentance, sanctification, spiritual growth, love, good works, prayer, worship, suffering, perseverance, discernment, resistance to deception, and the fruit of the Spirit. Its aim is to show that salvation is not merely a moment of response, but a life of faithful allegiance and obedient service to Christ—formed by grace, empowered by the Holy Spirit, guarded by Scripture, and lived in active resistance to sin, false doctrine, and the schemes of the enemy.

Worship is bowing before God — the Greek proskuneo and latreia. Honoring the Creator, due to God alone, in spirit and truth and a life of service.
Prayer is speaking to God — the Greek proseuche. Asking, thanking, interceding, and praising, offered in Jesus’ name, according to God’s will, and in faith.
Faith is more than belief. The Greek pistis binds three strands — trust, conviction of the unseen, and faithfulness — a settled confidence in God that obeys.
Truth creates responsibility: believers must obey the gospel, pursue holiness, walk by the Spirit, guard apostolic doctrine, correct humbly, love faithfully, and endure.
Human identity begins with God: created in His image, fallen through sin, renewed in Christ, adopted by the Father, and destined for Christlike glory.
God determines what matters, calling the church to weigh doctrine, holiness, love, justice, mercy, wisdom, and error according to Scripture’s priorities with faithful discernment alone.
Truthscape helps believers test doctrine through Scripture, apostolic teaching, careful exegesis, and early Christian witness—recovering the gospel and distinguishing truth from tradition, system, and distortion.
The church is Christ’s baptized covenant people, called through the gospel and devoted to apostolic doctrine, fellowship, the Lord’s Supper, prayer, holiness, love, and mission.
New Testament warnings address believers, guarding assurance from presumption by calling baptized church to abide in Christ, resist deception, continue faithfully, and endure to salvation.
